Parsons is a small Kansas city that serves as a transportation hub of the area. Two museums in town -- the Parsons Historical Museum and Iron Horse Museum -- detail the city's history and the importance of the railroad in the region, respectively. In addition, the Parsons Auditorium hosts live performances, and the Carnegie Arts Center promotes arts of all kind. Those visiting Parsons have two campground options in town, and several others within a 30-minute drive.
